IS7 Game Storage: Cache, App Data & Downloads
Before removing files, identify what is taking up space. The installed app, temporary files and an APK left in Downloads are different items with different consequences when removed.
Separate the numbers you are looking at
Open the phone’s storage settings to see what uses space across the device. The app-information screen may then separate the installed app, its stored data and its cache. Labels and totals differ between Android versions and manufacturers.
Storage is the space used to keep files and app information. It is not the same as working memory, which the phone uses while running tasks. Removing a downloaded file does not directly diagnose a game that freezes during use.
Know what a clearing option means
- Cache generally holds temporary material an app may recreate. Clearing it may mean that material has to load again.
- App data or storage can include saved settings and sign-in state. A reset may remove local information you were relying on.
- Uninstalling removes the app from the device. It does not, by itself, confirm closure of a provider-held account.
- An APK in Downloads is an installation file. Treat it as a separate file when checking where space is being used.
Review downloaded files by name and date
If several installation files remain in Downloads, check their full names, dates and sizes before deciding what you need to keep. A filename ending in a number can simply be a duplicate download; it is not proof of a newer app version.
Do not remove a folder just because its name looks related to IS7. First identify whether it contains an installer, screenshots or other information you intend to retain. The version-details guide explains why filenames are weak evidence of an installed version.
Prepare before resetting an app
Check that you have the account information needed to return, and save any support reference that is only visible in the current session. If an unresolved issue is involved, ask support what information to preserve before making a reset part of the investigation.
A smaller storage total after clearing files does not establish that an account problem has been resolved. Reopen the relevant screen and check the original issue separately.
Choose the next step by the problem
Use download help for an installation that cannot finish, loading help for an app that will not respond, or account closure if your intention is to leave the service rather than free device space.
